ECSCA FTC Meeting Minutes
Teleconference Call
Present; Martin Bell, Buzz Benson, Tom Calabrese, Tawney Crawford, A.R. Ginn,
Nancy Murphy, Sue Rose, Rumi Schroeder
Rumi called the FTC to order at 7PM Central Time.
Gun Committee Report: Tom Calabrese reported that the Cocker Gunning Log is near completion for the spring Cocker Trials and should be available by the end of the week
The Gun committee is currently review on application out of MN for Captain status, the process will be completed by 6.26.08
NCC 2008 and NCC 2009: no status report available.
Hunt Test Report: Buss Benson (liaison to the HT committee) & Nancy Murphy HT Chair reported that there hasn’t been an abundance of activity with regard to Hunt Tests. Most of the activity has been east of the Mississippi. Most Hunt Test this year had 30 to 50 participants. There is fear that increased traveling expenses would diminish Hunt Test participation.
There was discussion regarding “Beyond Masters” test. Barbara Haupt – Maine Spaniel Club was the only group to offer the “Beyond Master” test. Barbara made significant recommendations to the HT Committee. Tom Meyer of the AKC contacted Rumi Schroeder offering AKC’s support for Field Trials and Hunt Tests. AKC would consider the possibility of make “Beyond Masters” an AKC title.
Buzz Benson offered up the North Dakota Club as group that would be interested in offering a “Beyond Masters” test.
NCC Print Program: Much discussion took place regarding the continuation of the Print Program.
Rumi Schroeder will canvas the Gold and Silver Patrons for their input to the continuation of the program.
NCC Budget: Karen Spurlin – ECSCA Treasurer will prepare an NCC budget format for future use.
New Business:
NCC 2009: Sue Rose reported that the NCC 2009 Judge Selection Ballots went out on 6.24.08
Next meeting is schedule for 07.15.08.
